Clients hungering for a taste of the tropics have some savory new options to try on Kauai. The island’s newest restaurant, 22 North, is a farm-to-table enterprise that showcases Kauai-grown meat, seafood and produce.
Formerly called Gaylord’s, it is located at Kilohana Plantation just outside of Lihue. To the south of the island, Josselin’s Tapas Bar and Grill has opened at Kukuiula Village with a mix of country French, seasonal Provencal and Asian dishes.
Travelers who want to buy and cook their own island ingredients can stop by Kauai’s newest culinary market featuring chef demonstrations, a wine and beer garden, sales of local food products and live entertainment. Look for it on Wednesdays from 4-6 p.m. at Kukuiula Village. www.22northkauai.comwww.kukuiulavillage.com
