Humpback whales have been putting on a quite a show this year

Humpback whales have been putting on a quite a show this year during their annual visit to Hawaii. In fact, the Star of Honolulu tour boat reported sightings on each one of its January 2011 whale-watching cruises. Clients who book an excursion on the 232-foot vessel are guaranteed a glimpse of the gentle giants, or else they get a free return cruise voucher to try again. Offered daily through May 8 and running along Oahu's southern coastline, the trip features a trained naturalist crew, narration, handouts and a video presentation. Passengers can participate in hands-on educational programs and Hawaiian cultural activities. It's a great family outing, made even more attractive since kids ride free when accompanied by paid adults.
