Celebrity Cruises’ recent Home Based Keys to Success events in April and May (Fort. Lauderdale, Fla., San Francisco and Seattle) will continue throughout the fall season (San Diego, Calif.; Portland, Maine; Boston; New Jersey; and Miami).
In a survey of home-based agencies last year, Celebrity found that their priorities were regional training and increased access to the ships; now the company expects to host between 800 and 1,000 home-based agents this year for regional training, with all events hosted onboard ships.
Celebrity is bringing in key industry leaders including Scott Koepf (former president of NACTA, current vice president of sales for Avoya Travel), Stuart Cohen (former vice president of Groups for World Travel Holdings and senior vice president of the NEST, current president and chief motivational officer for Exclamation Points, Inc.), Anita Pagliasso (president of Ticket to Travel, OSSN Western regional manager and author of the new book, “From Home Based to Powerhouse”) and Dan Chapelle (current vice president of sales for Expedia Cruise Ship Centers).
