Hawaiian Holdings’ new turboprop service to Molokai and Lanai now has a name: Ohana by Hawaiian. Inspired by the local word for family, the brand will distinguish Hawaii’s newest inter-island operation starting in the summer of 2013, when Ohana by Hawaiian takes wing. Fittingly, the father-and-son local design team of Sig and Kuhao Zane created the brand’s design, which incorporates patterns representing ancestry, family and transportation.
“This new service has always been about making it easier for friends and families throughout the islands and from overseas to share time together,” said Hawaiian Holdings president Mark Dunkerley.
Ohana by Hawaiian will fly passengers in 48-seat aircraft. Reservations and sales for the new operation will be handled by Hawaiian Airlines. www.hawaiianairlines.com
