American Express Travel named America’s Vacation Center (AVC) Travel Agency of the Year for 2009 during its annual American Express U.S. Representative Network Conference, held Oct. 4-6 in Philadelphia. AVC co-president Van Anderson accepted the award on behalf of AVC from Ellen Bettridge, vice president of the American Express U.S. Retail Travel Network at a special presentation during the conference.
Travel Agency of the Year winners are chosen for their commitments to customer advocacy, business development and innovation and contributions to the American Express Representative Network.
“America’s Vacation Center continues to impress us with its forward thinking, groundbreaking technology and marketing initiatives and unique shared-success model,” said Bettridge. Anderson said, “We are incredibly honored and humbled to receive American Express Travel’s most prestigious network award. We want to thank our vendor partners, independent affiliates, support staff and customers for their continued support and dedication — without them none of this would be possible.”www.americasvacationcenter.com
