The new Orbitz for Agents program allows agents the ability to earn commissions on hotel reservations and customized travel packages through its Web site, OrbitzForAgents.com. Through the new site, agents have access to promotional rates at thousands of properties worldwide, and they can also book flights, hotels and car rentals. Standard commission rates start at 10 percent for hotel bookings and 4 percent for travel packages (e.g. flight and air, etc.). The first 500 agents who sign up and make their first booking on the site by March 15 will be able to earn higher commissions through March 31, 2011. (www.orbitzforagents.com)
