HAL Names New Director

Grant will lead the fleet’s information technology

Holland America Line (HAL) has named Jason Grant director of fleet information technology. Grant will oversee all aspects of shipboard applications and technology and will also be responsible for implementing a crew management system, system enhancements for the mariner loyalty program and outfitting the technology infrastructure for the Nieuw Amsterdam, HAL’s newest ship, which will set sail for the first time on July 4.

“Jason brings a wealth of knowledge about the cruise industry and information technology,” said Brent Davidson, vice president, information technology. “We look forward to his success in this role and welcome him to the team.”

Grant joins HAL from Lindblad Expeditions, where he served as director of information technology. During his 10-year career at Lindblad, Grant managed technology innovation for the expedition line’s fleet, enhancing ship operations and improving the overall guest experience.
