It’s been a tumultuous year, not just in travel, but for everyone. If you — or your clients — didn’t fall victim to a Ponzi scheme, get laid off or lose your home then you likely had to deal with a barrage of other obstacles. That’s why this year, TravelAge West provided even more tips and tools with which to navigate the economic storm. Stories such as “Winning Strategies” in the March 30 issue provided agents with guidance on how to manage clients during a slowdown. Our March 2 cover story, “The Conversation Era,” discussed the art of social networking and “Making It Count” (June 8), offered advice on making the most of every booking. TravelAge West also continues to provide agents with award-winning coverage on the destinations, companies and issues that matter most to you in the West.
This was also a special year for the publication, as TravelAge West celebrated 40 years of bringing the world to the West. Here’s to many more.
