Bangkok’s largest Starwood hotel, Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers Bangkok, has revealed its completed $35 million renovation. The extensive changes are part of a $6 billion brand-wide global revival effort that will upgrade 180 hotels, renovate 70,000 guestrooms and introduce numerous types of innovative features to properties around the world.
“We are incredibly excited to showcase an entirely new guest experience through this comprehensive and exciting renovation of the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers,” said Tina Liu, hotel manager for the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers.
The property is home to 726 guestrooms and suites and 133,000 square-feet of meeting space. The renovations have transformed guestrooms into more functional and aesthetically pleasing accommodation. Signature Sheraton amenities have been included to enhance the client experience during their stay in Southeast Asia. Added features include the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper beds, 42-inch LCD flat-panel televisions, oversized work desks, the newly launched Shine by Sheraton spa products and more.
The new Towers Lounge has been relocated to the 27th floor and now offers views of Bangkok and the River of Kings. The Towers Executive Rooms allow clients to experience the city’s culture in a unique way through its traditional Thai architecture and contemporary amenities. Both corporate and leisure guests are supplied through these transformations with everything they need to connect to work and home.
Beyond the new room accommodations, clients can take advantage of the new saltwater Terrace Pool next to Sheraton Fitness. For a relaxing dining experience, visitors can head to the Sambal Bar and Grill, the hotel’s riverside restaurant. Sambal has also experienced some changes — it features a revived look to fit with the hotel’s fresh ambience, while still maintaining scenic views along the Chao Phraya River.
