The sea turtle season is now in full swing in Puerto Vallarta. Each year, thousands of sea turtles come to lay their eggs on area beaches. The season officially began in May and lasts through September.
As part of Puerto Vallarta’s Sea Turtle Release Program, every night throughout the season, staff members from various hotels located along the beach gather the turtle eggs and nests and carefully transfer them to incubation areas. When the hatchlings are born, the staff invites hotel guests to participate in the release of the hatchlings into the sea.
