The New Orleans West Bank Tower is part of a $1 billion brand relaunch program.

Last month, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) opened the 181-room Holiday Inn New Orleans West Bank Tower. The hotel is the first Holiday Inn in the New Orleans area to showcase the brand’s new sign, which is part of the brand’s $1 billion relaunch program.

"We are thrilled to continue the momentum of the Holiday Inn relaunch and to introduce our new sign and hallmarks to the New Orleans market," said John Merkin, senior vice president, Brand Management, Holiday Inn Brands, the Americas. "With 600 hotels relaunched globally, we’re in the midst of one of the most exciting times for the Holiday Inn brand. The new sign at this hotel signifies changes inside and out that should make guests feel confident that they [will] to experience fantastic service with a more up-to-date look."

Holiday Inn New Orleans West Bank Tower is centrally located, two miles from the oft-visited French Quarter, Harrah’s Casino, the Ernest N. Memorial Convention Center and the New Orleans Superdome. It also boasts a 24-hour fitness center, on-site, 24-hour laundry facilities and an outdoor swimming pool. Additionally, guests can watch sporting events on over-sized, high-definition televisions or grab a bite of traditional southern fare at The Roundhouse Bar & Grill, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner on the first floor.

Standard guestrooms at the hotel feature comfortable beds, a sitting area with a lounge chair, complimentary high-speed Internet access and more.

"We’re looking forward to providing what matters most to our guests whether they’re traveling to New Orleans for business or leisure, and we’re proud to be a part of the evolution of the Holiday Inn brand," said Lee Cuicchi, general Manager, Holiday Inn New Orleans West Bank Tower.

IHG expects to relaunch more than 3,200 Holiday Inn Express and Holiday Inn Properties by the end of 2010.
