Patricia Ilene Stewart and Carolyn Mainguene were selected as winners of the “River Cruising – Feel at Home with AmaWaterways” webinar on Sept. 3. Both webinar participants won a complimentary seven-night 2014 European cruise for two in a French balcony stateroom.
Stewart chose the Vineyards of the Rhine and Mosel itinerary as her prize. For the last 11 years, Stewart has worked with TPI Travel Services in Tampa, Fla. Stewart said that although she lives in a location often visited by people from all over the world, she enjoys discovering other destinations by assisting with research and arrangements for others, as well as through her own personal travel.
Meanwhile, Mainguene booked the Blue Danube Discovery package. Mainguene is the co-owner of Circa Tours in Temecula, Calif. She started Circa Tours with her husband Pierre Mainguene in 2002, and the company specializes in river cruises and custom tours across France, Spain and Portugal. According to Mainguene, she and her husband believe in the art of traveling well and in the discovery of local culture and heritage.
During the webinar, Mainguene was one of several agents to suggest that AmaWaterways begin cruising in Bordeaux. According to AmaWaterways, a new seven-night cruise onboard the Amadolce will sail the Garonne river beginning in March 2016. Official details will be released later this year.
