The Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Allied Awards, held on June 10 at The New York Marriott Marquis Hotel, honored media professionals who have supported tourism to the Caribbean.
Winsome Charlton, general manager of WVCG Radio, was presented with this year’s Marcella Martinez Award by Edmund Bartlett, Jamaica’s minister of tourism. This honor is bestowed upon individuals who have implemented successful programs to support tourism in the Caribbean.
Sarah Greaves-Gabbadon, the deputy editor of Caribbean Travel & Life, was presented with the Marcia Vickery-Wallace Award. Gabbadon is an editor, writer and Caribbean travel expert who has worked in the hospitality industry for more than two decades. She has earned this award for her dedication to both Jamaica and the Caribbean region as a whole.
