In what was billed as a cruise industry first, Celebrity hosted the Celebrity Cruises Great Wine Festival on land in Irvine, Calif., on May 31. The event featured more than 40 premium wineries, craft breweries, spirits companies and award-winning restaurants. Celebrity’s sommelier, Chanelle Duarte, and its vice president of food and beverage operations/executive chef, John Suley, were also on-hand at the Celebrity Cruises booth, which provided samples of Celebrity’s cuisine.
Proceeds from the festival went to LegalAid of Orange County, a non-profit organization that provides free and low-cost legal services to individuals of Southern California who might otherwise be denied access to legal aid.
