Centara Hotels & Resorts has expanded its operations team — creating four new group directors of operations roles — to handle the rapid growth in the company’s property portfolio.
Robert Maurer-Loeffler, who has been with Centara since 2007, has been promoted to group director of operations for Bangkok and city hotels.
Austin Robinson, who joined Centara in 2011, has been promoted to group director of operations for properties in East Thailand and Vietnam.
Harry Thaliwal, who joined Centara in 2014, is now group director of operations for South Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bali and the COSI Hotels portfolio.
Kamal Chaoui, a new hire, has been appointed as group director of operations for premium resorts, responsible for Centara Grand Resorts, the company's five-star brand. Chaoui was most recently general manager at Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi.
