Last month, 80 top-producing travel advisors cruised the Baltic Sea during Crystal Cruises’ 24th Annual Sales Achievement Awards Gala, sailing from Helsinki, Finland, to Copenhagen, Denmark. On the heels of Crystal’s ambitious expansion plans from the rivers, ocean and air to luxury real estate, there was plenty to celebrate with guests.
Travel agents in attendance — including 53 of Crystal’s million-dollar producers — were among the first to hear of the company’s enhanced Wi-Fi program, which offers one hour of complimentary Internet access per day to all guests. During a private cocktail reception, president and CEO Edie Rodriguez also announced Crystal’s plans to add a second plane to its fleet and offer shorter, 14-day itineraries.
“Crystal’s expansion is long overdue and very much a good thing,” said Leah Bergner, a sales consultant with Coastline Travel Advisors in Garden Grove, Calif., who attended the gala. “Now, I can sell just about every destination globally and do it with confidence, knowing I have the Crystal name behind the product my client will experience.”
