The forthcoming Melia Braco Village resort held a ground-breaking event April 24 in Trelawny, Jamaica. Melia Hotels International will manage the 225-room property in a joint-venture partnership with the Jamaican government. Attendees included dignitaries such as H.E. Anibal Julio Jimenez Y Abascal, ambassador of Spain; Sharon Ffolkes Abrahams, minister of industry, investment and commerce for Jamaica; Derrick Kellier, minister of labor and social security for Jamaica; and Wykeham McNeill, minister of tourism for Jamaica.
