Holland America Line (HAL) recently hosted its Centurions — the cruise line’s top travel sellers — on a Caribbean cruise onboard the Nieuw Amsterdam, the line’s newest ship, which debuted in July. During the voyage, agents participated in product-knowledge seminars, question-and-answer sessions and enjoyed one-on-one time with company executives. They also had the chance to participate in marquee shipboard activities such as cooking demonstrations in the Culinary Arts Center presented by Food & Wine magazine, classes in the Digital Workshop powered by Windows, iPod art tours, the On Deck for the Cure charity walk to benefit breast cancer research and more.
“We are pleased to have had the opportunity to host our Centurion agents onboard our beautiful new Signature-class ship the Nieuw Amsterdam,” said Richard D. Meadows, executive vice president, marketing, sales and guest programs. “It was a great opportunity to connect with our top travel partners and share what’s new and hear how we can best support them in selling our premium cruises.”
In appreciation for their achievements, HAL presented all Centurions with a framed print of a Nieuw Amsterdam painting by maritime artist Stephen Card.
