On March 12, more than 800 international and local guests, including travel industry professionals, dignitaries and Playa Hotels & Resorts and Hyatt Hotels Corporation executives, gathered at Hyatt Ziva Cancun to celebrate its grand opening.
Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Carlos Cabrera, senior vice president of global all-inclusive operations for Hyatt; Bruce Wardinski, chairman and CEO of Playa Hotels & Resorts; Alex Stadlin, CEO of Playa Resorts Management; Laura Fernandez Pina, secretary of tourism of Quintana Roo; Roberto Cabrales, director of planning for Mexico’s Ministry of Tourism; and more, guests enjoyed a vast array of small bites and drinks, including beer from the in-house microbrewery, and live entertainment such as aerial dancers and a fireworks show.
"We are thrilled to officially welcome the second Hyatt all-inclusive resort to this fantastic destination," Cabrera said. "The resort's compelling design creates areas that inspire friends and families to reconnect, while also featuring intimate places where adults can recharge in refined luxury. All of this is complemented with the most innovative and inspired dining imaginable."
