On Feb. 24, more than 200 guests, including dignitaries, travel industry professionals and resort guests, celebrated the grand opening of Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta. A former Dreams property, the resort is the result of a partnership between Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Playa Hotels & Resorts that has created a brand of Hyatt all-inclusives.
During the evening’s ribbon-cutting and celebratory toast, it was officially announced that the hotel earned a AAA Four-Diamond rating. Other highlights of the night included fireworks, Mexican food stands, tequila tastings and performances by a mariachi band, an aerial acrobat, a fire dancer and other entertainers.
“Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta brings a well-known global brand to this destination, and it has done so by repurposing and preserving one of the most beautiful resort sites that already existed,” said Enrique Ramos Flores, minister of tourism for the State of Jalisco.
