The Mexico Tourism Board took top honors earlier this month, when it was recognized as the first-ever “Tourism Board of the Year” during Virtuoso Travel Week (formerly Virtuoso Travel Mart). The Mexico Tourism Board, which considers travel agents as an integral part of its marketing strategy, was acknowledged for its ongoing efforts in promoting international tourism.
Accepting the Award was Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism Gloria Guevara Manzo, accompanied by Mexico Tourism Board chief operating officer, Rodolfo Lopez-Negrete.
“We are very proud of our relationship with Virtuoso,” said Guevara, upon receiving the award. “Last year was a record-breaking year in terms of tourism to Mexico. Achieving this was a team effort. We continue to value the expertise of Virtuoso and Virtuoso’s advisors.”
The award was presented at Virtuoso Travel Week, which is held annually at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas and attended by more than 4,000 elite travel advisors and luxury travel suppliers.
