Norcal Hawaii Ohana hosted 11 travel agents from Northern California to spend four days on Hawaii and Kauai. Founded in 1993, this organization offers an opportunity for travel suppliers from Northern California to familiarize themselves with the islands and promote awareness of these islands to travel agents.
During the trip, travel agents inspected numerous sites on both islands and participated in cultural experiences planned by the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau. Activities included snorkeling along the Na Pali Coast in Kauai; an excursion with Kauai Sea Tours; a park ranger tour of the Puukohola Heiau National Park; and shopping at the National Botanical Garden gift shop, Old Koloa Town and Shops at Kukuiula. Alaska Airlines provided all flight transportation.
