For the third year in a row, Plaza Travel participated in the Victory for Victims 5K Walk/Run to benefit the Center for Assault Treatment Services (CATS). The charitable event took place at Balboa Park in Lake Balboa, Calif., on Sunday, April 28.
Plaza Travel’s 21-person team included nine employees, along with friends and family members who joined in to support the cause. The 5K was put on in order to raise awareness and funds for CATS, a local non-profit program from the Northridge Hospital Medical Center that provides an immediate 24/7 response for victims of sexual abuse and assault.
“We knew we were doing our part to help the community and to help in the treatment of victims of abuse,” said Sandra Sparks of Plaza Travel. “Plaza Travel understands the importance of giving back.”
