On April 19, Plaza Travel participated in the 13th annual Victory for Victims 5K Walk/Run in Encino, Calif., to benefit nearby Northridge Hospital’s Center for Assault Treatment Services, which provides immediate 24/7 response for victims of sexual abuse and assault. This is the Encino-based travel management company’s fifth consecutive time participating in the event.
Dozens of Plaza Travel employees, family and friends ran or walked the course, led by team captain and organizer Sandra Sparks, a travel consultant for the company. The team, which raised $620 and received donations from various sources valued at more than $4,000, was sponsored by Steve Orens, president of Plaza Travel. Additional donors included Loews Hollywood Hotel, Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa, Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, oceanside resort Terranea, The Ritz-Carlton’s Hotel Arts Barcelona and The Langham Huntington, Pasadena, Los Angeles hotel.
