On Dec.13, Protravel International sponsored and hosted an annual children’s party at Mount Sinai Beth Israel hospital and the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation in New York City. Hundreds of children, families and caregivers enjoyed holiday festivities, food, beverages, gifts, games and a visit from Santa Claus.
For more than 30 years, Protravel has gathered volunteers to organize the annual celebration for the young patients at the hospital. This year, some 100 volunteers, including Protravel employees and agents, helped make the party a success. Food and beverages were sponsored by Protravel hotel partners. Additionally, the event provided up to four gifts for each child, donated by local companies and toy stores.
“Over the years, in collaboration with Mount Sinai Beth Israel and the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation, we have created a rewarding festivity that spreads true holiday cheer to each child and maybe helps them to forget why they’re hospitalized, even if just for a few hours,” said Andy Pesky, senior vice president of leisure sales and marketing for Protravel.
