Last month, Robert “Earl” Holding, owner of Idaho’s Sun Valley Resort and Utah’s Snowbasin Resort, passed away of natural causes. He was 86 years old.
Holding began his entrepreneurial career at the age of 23 and eventually established Little America Hotels & Resorts, which includes the AAA Five Diamond Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Holding was also an enthusiastic supporter of the Olympic Games, and his efforts helped bring the 2002 Winter Games to Salt Lake City.
