On March 23, the Millennials & Mentors group of the Southern California chapter of the American Society of Travel Agents (SoCal ASTA) held its third event, “How to Rock Social Media,” at the recently renovated Viceroy L’Ermitage Beverly Hills in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Attendees chose from three sessions highlighting different topics: self-marketing on a budget, best practices for social media platforms and how to utilize Yelp effectively. Chosen for their expertise, guest speakers included Brittany Pierce of PBS travel show “Rhythm Abroad,” Melissa Karlin and Emily Hollis of Citizine TV and Donna Wolfe, a travel agent for Plaza Travel and mentor for Millennials & Mentors. Small bites, refreshments and raffle prizes were provided by Viceroy L’Ermitage and its new French bistro, Avec Nous.
“Our mission with these events is to create a supportive environment for our members to learn, think and grow together for the betterment of the travel industry,” said Gabriella Price, founder of Millennials & Mentors. “We encourage personal development through creative education.”
