Last month, top travel consultants across Southern California enjoyed a familiarization tour of Alberta, Canada, hosted by Travel Alberta and WestJet. The Winter Experiences fam began with a two-night stay in the Chateau Lacombe Hotel in the capital city of Edmonton, where agents experienced a tour of Elk Island National Park, a Segway and snowshoe tour of the River Valley and a cross-country ski lesson at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre.
Following Edmonton, travel consultants continued on to Jasper National Park, where they stayed in a cabin at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Activities in the park included stargazing, a horse-drawn sleigh ride, snowshoeing at Pyramid Lake and a walk across Maligne Canyon’s frozen floor.
During the final part of their trip, agents stayed at The Rimrock Resort Hotel and the Deer Lodge in Banff National Park. While in Banff, the group rode snow tubes at the Lake Louise Ski Resort and Mount Norquay.
