During September and October, Mediterra DMC brought 25 U.S. luxury travel agents on fam trips to Croatia. Mediterra, a tour operator specializing in tours to Croatia, countries of former Yugoslavia and Mediterranean basin countries, organized the tours in cooperation with Croatian National Tourist Organization (CNTO).
During the fams, agents visited eight out of 10 “must see” places in Croatia and dined on gourmet Mediterranean and Croatian cuisine. Highlights of the trip included a truffle safari with truffle-hunting dogs, truffle cooking demonstrations, harvesting fresh oysters at an oyster farm and tasting private reserve wines at boutique wineries in Istria.
