travel42 Cruise Ship Review: Holland America Line Prinsendam

travel42 Professional Ship Review

The Prinsendam was Finnish-built in 1988 as the Royal Viking Sun. It was designed to bring back the roominess and space that many travelers prize and, in 2002, underwent a refurbishment after being brought into the Holland America fleet. It had another major refurbishment in 2007 and again in 2011.

Although there are some familiar public room names, this ship does not have the typical Holland America layout, as it was originally built for the now defunct Royal Viking Line.
