From Aug. 23-25, the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) convened some 1,000 travel professionals — including nearly 700 travel advisors — in Chicago for the annual ASTA Global Convention.
This year’s event focused heavily on pandemic recovery, featuring business survival stories and educational offerings. Learning topics ranged from “Business Basics for New Advisor Success” to “Evaluating Your Business Model in a Post COVID-19 World” and more. Advisors also had the chance to network with more than 125 exhibitors during the tradeshow.
“One thing is certain,” said Zane Kerby, president and CEO of ASTA. “The pandemic underscored not only the value of working with a travel advisor, but also the need for a strong national trade association for our part of the industry. We are working tirelessly to rebuild the industry with our members.”
