The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) announced its first-ever River Cruise Week, scheduled for Nov. 18-22. The virtual event will connect travel advisors with seven river cruise companies through educational sessions and Q&A opportunities.

The five-day program includes participation from Amadeus River Cruises, AmaWaterways, Avalon Waterways, Riverside Luxury Cruises, Riviera River Cruises, Van Loon Cruises and Viking.

"We're thrilled to launch this brand-new event," said Zane Kerby, president and CEO of ASTA. "River cruising continues to capture the interest of travelers, and we're excited to offer our members direct access to top brands that they can access from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. This event stands apart from our in-person River Cruise Expo, featuring new brands and different ships. Even if advisors are already registered for next year's Expo in Vienna, we encourage them to join River Cruise Week for an even deeper dive into this thriving niche in the travel market."

The schedule includes two sessions per day, featuring individual cruise line presentations, panel discussions and interactive segments. ASTA will host a general session on the first day, a panel discussion mid-week and conclude with a fireside chat on the final day.
