New data from Booking.com reveals some of the top destinations and properties saved to would-be travelers’ “wish lists,” a feature on the online platform.

In 2019, domestic properties made up one-third (33%) of saved items on users’ wish lists — unsurprisingly, domestic accommodations make up 51% of all wish lists this year.

The top U.S. destinations featured on wish lists are Orlando, Fla.; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Miami Beach, Fla.; New York; and Las Vegas. These destinations suggest a desire among Americans for sun-and-sand vacations, as well as big cities with offerings such as restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

The international cities featuring most prominently on wish lists are Mexican beach destinations and European metropolises. Cancun is the No. 1 wished-for destination, followed by Paris; London; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Tulum, Mexico.
