ALG Vacations (ALGV) has launched a new refresher course called ALGVPro Active, designed to keep travel advisors informed on the latest updates, programs, booking tools and more.

The ALGVPro program is ALGV's self-paced, on-demand online education platform, which allows travel advisors to learn about the company's destinations, products, brands and services. The new ALGVPro Active course offers new, short modules covering recent updates since the program's debut in 2022, without requiring advisors to revisit past coursework.

Being ALGVPro-certified offers travel advisors numerous rewards, including eligibility for fam trips, prizes and the opportunity to earn up to seven continuing education units from The Travel Institute. Advisors who completed the original ALGVPro program before Oct. 1, 2024, will retain their certification status and benefits for 2025 by completing the new ALGVPro Active course by Oct. 1, 2025 (though they should note that benefits, including prizes and fam trips, will pause starting Jan. 1, until certification is achieved).

"ALG Vacations is committed to supporting travel advisors, and with the launch of ALGVPro Active, we are continuing to provide essential tools that empower advisors to thrive in an ever-evolving industry," said Jacki Marks, global head of trade brands for ALGV. "This course is just one of many ways that we are ensuring they have the most relevant and up-to-date resources at their fingertips."

Advisors can complete the ALGVPro Active course at their convenience, and new graduates after Oct. 1 do not need to enroll in the refresher course.
