Meet Allyz TravelSmart, the New Mobile App From Allianz

Customers who have purchased travel insurance policies from Allianz Global Assistance now have an ally in their back pocket: Allyz TravelSmart, the insurance provider’s new mobile app, which is free to download and replaces the former Allianz TravelSmart app. (Note: Current users of Allianz TravelSmart do not need to download a new app; it has been automatically updated.)

New features of the app are designed to help policyholders with various services before and during their trips. Functions include a hospital finder that is based on a client’s geographic location, a medication dictionary, a medical term translator, local emergency phone numbers for a traveler’s destination, embassy information, safety and security alerts and more. Users can also load all the details of their trip into the app, which will organize and present components of the client’s specific itinerary, including flights.

Clients also have immediate access to their Allianz Global Assistance policy, and can file a claim straight from their mobile device, peruse frequently asked questions or chat with a customer service representative, who will be available 24/7.

Begench Atayev, head of product management and innovation for Allianz Partners USA, said the app was designed to relieve client stress and “take much of the worry out of the travel experience.”

“Designed to be an essential companion to our industry-leading travel and event ticket protection products, the app offers a robust suite of digital solutions, so travelers can have an even more enjoyable trip,” Atayev said. “The app serves as a hub that puts insurance benefits, assistance services, safety features and more at customers’ fingertips whenever and wherever they need them."

Allyz TravelSmart can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
