A recent survey by TravelSavers and Nest reveals significant optimism among travel advisors as they look toward 2025, with 79% predicting revenue growth and 93% expecting steady or increasing consumer demand for their services.

The survey, conducted from October 29 to November 16, 2024, among U.S. and Canadian travel agency affiliates, highlights a positive outlook for the industry. Sales projections show that 52% of advisors anticipate somewhat of an increase in sales, while 27% predict a significant increase.

Client acquisition remains a key focus, with 38% of advisors looking to grow their clientele substantially and 41% seeking a few additional clients. Only 2% expressed interest in reducing their client base.

Artificial intelligence is emerging as a transformative force in the travel industry. The survey found that AI usage among advisors has increased, with 12% now using it frequently, up from 8% last year. Additionally, 20% use AI occasionally, compared to 14% in the 2024 survey.

"We are clearly in the era of the travel advisor, with the highest demand from consumers that we've ever seen. Travelers continue to enthusiastically embrace the guidance of a professional consultant," noted Kathryn Mazza-Burney, TravelSavers Chief Sales Officer and Nest President.

Attitudes toward AI are becoming more positive, with 29% of advisors now viewing it as a great tool, compared to 16% in the previous year. Negative sentiment has dropped from 13% to 7%, while 24% remain unfamiliar with the technology.

"If 2024 was about getting to know AI, 2025 will be about embracing it,” Mazza-Burney added. “It's inspiring to see how, in just a year, advisors don't feel threatened by AI and are instead harnessing its benefits."

The survey also revealed consumer perspectives, with 53% of advisors believing consumers will be more likely to work with travel professionals, and 40% expecting consistent engagement levels.

As the industry continues to evolve, travel advisors appear well-positioned to meet growing consumer demands while integrating new technological tools to enhance their services.
