TravelPulse Canada Announces Leadership Changes for 2025

Today, Northstar Travel Group announced that TravelPulse Canada is undergoing significant leadership changes for 2025, with Ken Shapiro and Maura Lee-Byrne taking over key editorial and sales positions, respectively, at the Northstar Travel Group publication.

TravelPulse Canada Editor in Chief John Kirk will depart at the end of this week, along with editorial team members Marsha Mowers and Bruce Parkinson.

“We are grateful to John for his leadership, his industry presence and his passion for the brand,” said Mary Pat Sullivan, executive vice president of marketing and partnerships, travel group, for Northstar. Ken Shapiro, Vice President and Editorial Director at Northstar Travel Group, will expand his role to oversee all TravelPulse brands, including TravelPulse, TravelPulse Canada and AGENTatHOME, in addition to TravelAge West. TravelPulse Canada has also added several Canada-based contributing writers, including Jen Mallia, Debbie Olsen, Wendy Helfenbaum and Theresa Storm.

Maura Lee-Byrne, SVP and Group Publisher within Northstar Travel Group, will assume full responsibility for sales growth and development for TravelPulse Canada. She will work with the retail group sales team on the website, newsletter and custom content development.
