Mammoth Lakes, Calif., a major ski destination located in central California about a five-hour drive from Los Angeles, recently welcomed its newest property. Sierra Nevada Resort, an Outbound Hotel, features 179 guestrooms that are made up of deluxe rooms, fireplace suites and chalets. The hotel — a reimagining of the historic 1967 property that was once a getaway for Hollywood elite — also features a contemporary dining venue and a wine bar.

Mammoth is one of the most popular ski resorts in North America, and this new property gives travel advisors another option for clients, particularly families and small groups. The hotel’s 19 chalets offer multi-bedroom configurations with full kitchens and dining rooms. Select accommodations include private fireplaces, as well. The Sierra Nevada Resort is also located close to chairlifts for easy skiing, and it provides complimentary shuttle service directly from the property. The resort’s on-site Outbound Adventure Center features rental equipment and concierge services.

-Coming in April 2023, a collection of 10 newly built one-bedroom cabins will be added to the property.
-Bar Sierra, the resort’s new contemporary California restaurant concept, celebrates local fare and regional brews with 16 craft beers on tap. The indoor-outdoor space includes a private dining room, al fresco dining area and a walk-up window for guests utilizing the pool. The restaurant also houses a dedicated arcade room where guests can challenge each other to vintage games like Pac-Man.
