TRAVELAGE WEST TAKES HOME TABBIES
LOS ANGELES — TravelAge West magazine was recently awarded three 2007 Tabbie Awards, marking the second year in a row the magazine has claimed the honor. The award, sponsored by the Trade, Association, Business, Publications International organization (TABPI) recognizes outstanding achievement in English-language publications around the world.
“We feel very honored to be given this international award,” said Ken Shapiro, TravelAge West Editor-in-Chief. “My staff and I always strive for the best, and it’s gratifying to be recognized in this way.”
The awards were in the categories of Best Feature Article (Silver; “The Cutting Edge,” Dec. 18, 2006); Best Front Cover (Honorable Mention, “The Cutting Edge”); and Best Opening Page or Spread (Honorable Mention, “Selling the Life of Luxury,” May 29, 2006). In 2006 TravelAge West also won Honorable Mention awards for Front Cover Photograph and Best Opening Page or Spread.
“With more than 700 editorial and design entries from across the globe, winning is certainly an impressive achievement,” said Shapiro. “I couldn’t be more proud of my team.”
