Goway offers a variety of Asia itineraries that incorporate rail experiences to offer a convenient and cost-effective way to see local sites and interact more thoroughly with destinations.
“There are a host of exciting rail experiences throughout Asia,” said Bronwyn Hodge, Goway’s Asia product and marketing coordinator. “These range from short high-speed rail journeys connecting major cities, such as those within China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan, to the epic Trans-Siberian Railroad as well as luxury ideas in Southeast Asia. Train travel offers a perspective that no other form of transportation can, and is a great way to really experience a destination.”
In China, Goway offers the four-day Beijing Great Wall and the three-day Legendary Shanghai tours, which can be connected by the high-speed rail that opened in June 2011. The journey takes only five hours by train and is more cost effective than flying between the locations.
Japan has a long-established rail network, featuring the world’s first high-speed railway line. With Goway’s five-day Tokyo and Kyoto Highlights option, travelers can connect between the cities by way of bullet train.
Those seeking a luxurious train experience can book the three- or four-day Bangkok to Singapore (or vice versa) on the Eastern & Oriental Express. Guests will be treated to opulent dining and elegant cabins as they travel through Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. For a longer and even more lavish experience, the private 13-day Tsar’s Gold option travels from Beijing to Moscow (or vice versa) on the Trans-Siberian, the world’s longest and most iconic rail journey. In addition to the once-in-a-lifetime sightseeing, guests are taken care of by 44 attendants, six chefs, guides, waiters and engineers, as well as a doctor, a librarian and an accordion player.
