If you or your clients like to bring the entire family on trips — Fido included — Kakadu Pet’s Adventure Mat makes a portable, roll-up bed, so the family pet doesn’t have to rough it. Odie, my boyfriend’s Lab mix, tested out an extra-large-size mat this summer at the park and in his backyard. While I’m no dog whisperer, Odie seemed to love his new mat, even carrying it himself when we moved locations. And, since Odie lives for games of fetch, his paws got fairly muddy — as did his mat. Thankfully, the cotton/polyester mat is completely machine washable and dried quickly in the sun.

The plush pad, covered in a cotton/polyester mix, contains polyester filling, but isn’t too thick to roll up and carry with you wherever you and your pet may go. Elastic strings on the outside of the mat attach easily to car seats. The mat is ideal for dogs who enjoy sleeping outdoors at home, providing a sense of familiarity and security for them when they’re on the road. I could also see the mat being used easily at pet-friendly hotels.
