In June, Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, Calif., saw the grand opening of Cars Land, the crown jewel of the theme park’s five-year expansion plan.
Cars Land brings the town of Radiator Springs to life, just as visitors will remember it from the DisneyPixar movie “Cars.”
Three family attractions are the highlights of Cars Land — Luigi’s Flying Tires, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and Radiator Springs Racers, one of the largest and most elaborate attractions ever created for a Disney theme park.
Themed shops and restaurants will also look familiar to fans of the movie, including Flo’s V8 Cafe, Cozy Cone Motel and Ramone’s House of Body Art. Characters from the film, Lightning McQueen and Mater, make appearances and pose for photos throughout the day as well.

In addition to Cars Land, the park saw a complete renovation of its Buena Vista Street as well as the opening of the Carthay Circle Theatre, home of the Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge. www.disneytravelagents.com
