Esperanza, An Auberge Resort in Cabo San Lucas, has appointed Guillermo Gomez as executive chef and Octavio Munoz as director of food and beverage. Both bring more than a decade of experience to the resort’s culinary team.
Gomez will oversee the menus and ensure the high quality of the culinary experience at Esperanza’s six restaurants. He previously served as executive chef at Verdura Golf & Spa Resort in Sciacca, Italy, as well as a guest chef for a number of international events.
Gomez will bring a new, contemporary menu to Cocina del Mar, Esperanza’s signature restaurant, which showcases local ingredients from the Baja region and authentic cuisine from throughout Mexico.
Munoz has held similar positions at popular tourist spots such as Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo and Hilton Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
