According to Scott Nisbet, president and CEO of Globus Family of Brands, “Italy will top the hot list” for Globus travelers in 2011. At present, four of the company’s five most popular tours worldwide are in Italy (The Best of Italy; Italian Mosaic; Italy’s Great Cities; and Italian Treasures). Other Europe tours that continue to rank highly for the tour operator are Introduction to Ireland, Spectacular Spain, La France and German Highlights.
“Our tours aren’t popular simply because of the destinations they visit,” said Nisbet. “We have spent years designing inclusive getaways that give our travelers the best, most enriching vacations possible.”
To help agents generate sales, Globus is offering an early booking incentive of $1,000 off per couple on air-inclusive Europe vacations in 2011. In order to qualify for the promotion, the booking must be made and paid in full by Nov. 30 for travel between Jan. 1 and Oct. 31, 2011 (Journeys Club members do not need to pay in full to receive the discount). The promotion is not valid with any other offer.
As an extra incentive, the tour operator also launched an agent-only contest in which 18 agents will win pairs of economy-class roundtrip tickets on United Airlines for domestic travel between Jan. 1 and Oct. 31, 2011. Current IATAN card holders who book six or more passengers on 2011 Europe air-inclusive Globus vacations on United will be eligible to win. The booking must be paid in full by Nov. 30 for travel between Jan. 1 and Oct. 31, 2011. Winners will be announced in January 2011.
