Fans of New York City’s High Line will draw comparisons to an experience at Wild Walk, a kid-friendly “High Line of the forest” located at Wild Center in the heart of the Adirondacks in upstate New York. Once there, families can mix education with adventure by experiencing the natural world from a sky-high perspective.
Kids will wind their way through a maze of elevated bridges and platforms that takethem from ground level to the treetops. Along the way, walkers will find nature-centric attractions, such as a four-story twig treehouse, a human-size spiderweb and a path through a dead tree to witness the ecosystem that thrives within.
Although this “un-museum” has been drawing visitors for 10 years, this year will mark the first time that it will be open during Memorial Day weekend.
