Five hotels on Kauai’s east side are rolling out the welcome mat to travel agents every other Friday evening from April 1 to May 27, 2016.
The hotels, part of Royal Coconut Coast Association (RCCA), are timing their agent receptions with Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA)’s Mahalo Months, when agents get special packages, rates, travel opportunities and activities around the islands.
Agents attending the RCCA receptions will have a chance to network with area providers, chat with each other, compare notes about Kauai and experience the properties firsthand, even if they are staying elsewhere on Kauai.
Each gathering will feature drinks, appetizers, live music and a drawing for a free two-night stay.
Receptions will be held from 5-7 p.m. at Hotel Coral Reef (April 1), Kauai Shores (April 15), Courtyard by Marriott at Kauai Coconut Beach (April 29), Aston Islander on the Beach (May 13) and Hilton Garden Inn Kauai at Wailua Bay (May 27).
“RCCA wants to support HTA’s goal of providing opportunities for travel agents to expand their familiarization with Hawaii,” said Margy Parker, a RCCA spokesperson.
The joint effort among the five hotels emphasizes the destination’s cohesiveness, she added.
“Many of RCCA’s resorts have undergone significant renovations and upgrades, yet they remain moderate in price, with many of the properties being oceanfront,” Parker said.
All agents with a valid IATA number are invited to the receptions, along with one companion. They must RSVP at least three days in advance.
