In the film “Blue Hawaii,” Elvis Presley crooned romantically,
“Let’s go on a moonlight swim, far away from the crowd.”
Atlantis Navatek Cruises is taking advantage of that same
moonlight magic and the sparkling views of Honolulu’s city lights
with a limited Moonlight Cruise through Aug. 20.
Hosted aboard the revolutionary Navatek I, this new evening
excursion carries guests along the scenic shoreline of Waikiki
Beach, Diamond Head Crater and East Honolulu. A buffet of
appetizers, live island-style music and dancing keeps the mood
light, yet festive.
Navatek I departs each evening at 8:30 p.m. from Pier 6 at Aloha
Tower Marketplace and returns to port at 10pm. Comfortably hosting
more than 300 guests, the 140-foot vessel offers upper and lower
outside observation decks, and two air-conditioned dining rooms
with large picture windows running along either side.
Ron Williams, president and CEO of Atlantis Adventures, said,
“We’ve designed this moonlight cruise for everyone to enjoy the
evening views of Waikiki and Honolulu. The cityscape at night is
magical it’s a perfect atmosphere for people to have fun, relax and
unwind at the end of the day.”
The cruise experience is made more enjoyable by Navatek I’s
state-of-the-art, double-hulled SWATH (Small Waterplane Area Twin
Hull) cruise technology, which limits wave action against the
vessel and lifts the passenger-carrying area above the surface.
Gliding over the waves, guests experience the serenity of Hawaii
at sea during summer. They can hang out on the observation decks
and soak in dazzling views of the city lights, star-filled skies
and moonlight reflecting off the ocean. Or, they can step inside,
enjoy the music and dance the cruise away.
Atlantis also offers a two-hour Sunset Dinner Cruise departing
Aloha Tower Marketplace daily at 5:15 p.m. Guests enjoy
contemporary Hawaiian music, sunset views and choice of entree
Moonlight Cruise rates are $58 for adults and $29 for children
(ages 2-12). Prices do not include a 3 percent harbor fee and 4.166
percent state excise sales tax. Complimentary roundtrip
transportation from Waikiki hotels is offered. Parking is also
available at Aloha Tower Marketplace for a fee.
