Austin-Lehman Adventures will add three new European bicycle adventures to its offerings, with departures beginning in May of 2012. The tours will include France’s Burgundy region, Spain’s La Rioja and a family program in the Danish Isles.
The new tours in France and Spain offer scenic cycling through such historic cities as Dijon and Pamplona as well as introductions to the typical cuisine of the regions — from lobster ravioli to foie gras. The six-day Burgundy Bike Tours of France begin at $3,198 per person, based on double occupancy, while the seven-day La Rioja Bike Tours of Spain start at $3,498 per person, based on double occupancy.
The family-friendly Denmark adventure lets travelers island hop through an eight-day exploration of the region. Points of interest include the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde, Egeskov Castle, open-air markets, the island of Funen and more. Tours include picnic lunches and local seafood dinners, starting at $3,998 for adults and $3,198 for children. www.austinlehman.com
