On the heels of the launch of Norwegian Getaway, Norwegian Cruise Line has announced accommodation details for the Norwegian Escape. The Escape, due out fall of 2015, is the line’s largest ship ever with capacity for 4,200 passengers.
Escape’s Haven, a luxury ship-within-the-ship, will have 95 suites, including four deluxe owner’s suites measuring 1,300 square feet. The suites are larger than those on the Norwegian Getaway, which has 64 deluxe owner’s suites with 932 square feet of space each.
Escape will also feature four 572-square foot owner’s suites that sleep up to four people with a bath and a half, a separate bedroom, a living/dining area and a balcony. The 14 Haven spa suites will accommodate up to three people each and will offer king-size beds, in-room hot tubs, oversized waterfall showers and access to the adjacent Spa Thermal Suite.
Norwegian continues to focus attention on family groups, offering 25 two-bedroom family villas on Escape. The 540-square-foot villas sleep up to six people and have two bedrooms and two baths, floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies. Forty mini-suites are also great for families, each one offering a king-size bed, a bathtub and a location near Splash Academy, the ship’s facility for children. 172 balcony rooms are also adjacent Splash Academy. Forty-eight family ocean-view staterooms can accommodate up to five people each.
Eighty-two studio staterooms are designed for solo travelers within a keycard access complex that has its own private lounge. Each room has a full-size bed, a window to the corridor and separate areas for toilet, sink and shower.
Escape is the third ship in Norwegian’s Breakaway class and will be followed in 2017 with the introduction of sister ship Norwegian Bliss.
