As residents of Arizona have known for a long time, the town of
Puerto Penasco makes for an ideal weekend getaway to Mexico without
going too far from home. Only 60 miles south of the Arizona border,
the sleepy fishing village on the northeastern shore of the Sea of
Cortez is now transforming into a bustling resort town.
Commercial flights via AeroMexico’s regional airline Aerolitoral
will soon launch direct from Las Vegas and LAX to Puerto Penasco,
giving Southern California residents an alternative to Baja beach
cities. Rather than fly to Phoenix and drive down to the region,
visitors can now flight direct.
